Confessions of a Shopaholic!!

Shopping is a woman thing. It's a contact sport like football. Women enjoy the scrimmage, the noisy crowds, the danger of being trampled to death, and the ecstasy of the purchase.

I am a shopaholic and confess to my crime. But, shopping is one of the top 5 activities a lady of any age group loves! I am amazed to see little girl aged 5-7year old, carrying their small wallets with pennies and nickels in them wallets shopping for their doll houses and equally surprised seeing ladies well in their 80's-90's, shopping for high-heeled shoes!

Entering the mall gives me the feeling of entering a paradise of my own, i thrive when i am in the mall and coming out of the mall without a shopping bag is not my idea! The moment i step into a mall, i am overcome by the power of purchasing, which makes sure i spend all the money which i don't intend to save!

To me, shopping is like research, one has to be professional when shopping, going to one store and picking the thing you need is not shopping. Shopping is comparing products, quality, prices and trying to stay within a budget and still managing to fit max items, asking for people opinion before the final swipe of the credit card! My shopping starts with a empty basket and is not finished till the basket is too heavy to lunge around! I shop when i am happy, when i am sad, when i am bored, when i need to do something, when i am nervous, when i feel that i need to surprise someone, or just any day!

Shopping lets me see my money, where i want it to show - in my closet, in the house and when i see people using gifts they got from me with a smile! Shopping gives me a sense of accomplishment because i now pay my own bills and i can get what i want for everyone!

When I am up, I shop. When I am down, I shop even more. It's like through shopping, somehow I find a new focus and it sure is my stress-buster. What I can't solve in real life, I solve it through retail therapy.

Shopping defines my weekend for me and always will!! So till next weekend i will resist the urge of buying red shoes with kitten heels and the shirt in soothing mauve!

Cheers all my shopaholic buddies! Wish we go for a shopping trip soon!!!
